Your responsibilities will include:

Ensure a full understanding of the project scope and specifications with the Project Manager/Business Analyst and/or developers by reviewing and analyzing the requirements.
Design, perform, maintain test cases for assigned projects which ensure that the project meets the specifications and estimate for assigned effort.
Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing.
Maintenance and update the test cases as scope changes or enhancements are made.
Record detailed information on test results (environment, steps to reproduce, screenshots, error messages).
Log defects and track to closure, working with development team to establish defect. validity, cause and retesting as required.
Assist in consolidating test results and entering issue tracking for the PM/BA.
Re-testing and closing testing issues.
Suggest improvements to specifications for platforms and projects.
Continual review of the system testing procedure and making improvements/suggestions to the PM/QC Lead.
Experience in DB testing and in writing simple to medium complexity SQL queries.
Perform smoke testing, sanity testing, regression testing, verifying claimed bug fixes.

To be successful in this role you must have:

2+ years of testing experience in software development projects.
Understand the Software Development Life Cycle, Software Test Life Cycle and Bug Life Cycle process.
For manual web tester: Good experience in manual testing for web-based applications.
For manual mobile tester: Good experience in manual testing for Mobile (iOS, Android) applications.
Ability to write test cases, define regression scope and report bugs.
Experience with bug tracking software such as Jira, Azure
Basic knowledge of SQL database.
Basic knowledge of UI and UX.
Experience in API testing and using API testing tools Postman, SoapUI…
Effective communication, good sense of teamwork, and highly responsible for assigned tasks.
Carefulness, good logical thinking, critical thinking, and detail-oriented.
Ability to work independently and also in a team settings.
Ability to learn quickly and effectively.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

The following is considered highly advantageous:

Ability to prepare project test plans.
Mobile testing, load /performance testing, security testing experience.
Experience working with Agile methodology and project/test management tools (Jira, Confluence, TestRail).
Experience in writing scenarios with Gherkin syntax.
Professional certification in software testing (ISTQB certificate or course) or quality control is an advantage.
